Engraved bamboo cutting board – Galloping horses

Two horses galloping with their manes in the wind: this bamboo cutting board with a handle is laser-engraved in our workshop in Farnham, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.

Bamboo is durable, sturdy and lightweight: perfect for meal prep or for serving cheese, charcuterie and appetizers.

Paddle shape with a hole in the handle: easy to hang on the kitchen wall when you’re not using it.

Ready to use: each board is treated with food-grade mineral oil before shipping. We apply the first coat for you, which nourishes the bamboo and brings out the contrast of the engraving.

Care

• Hand wash in warm soapy water, then wipe and let it dry standing up.
• No dishwasher and no prolonged soaking: the bamboo could swell or crack.
• Reapply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil about once a month, or whenever the wood looks dry or paler. Avoid vegetable oils (olive, canola, sunflower…), which go rancid over time.
• Tip: to keep the engraving intact longer, cut on the back of the board and keep the engraved side for serving.

Each piece is engraved individually: the bamboo’s natural grain makes every board slightly unique.
